Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Filip of Summit Hill recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Sept. 17, 1949 in St. Stanislaus Church, Summit Hill by the Rev. Michael Lisowski. The Rev. Krzywicki concelebrated the Nuptial Mass.

Mrs. Filip is the former Florence Solick of Summit Hill, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Solick and the late Mrs. Jean Solick. She is retired from Loomtogs garment factory in Summit Hill. She is a former organist for St. Stanislaus Church.Mr. Filip is the son of the late Casmir and Sophie Flip. He is retired from Bethlehem Steel.The couple has a daughter, Marge, wife of Stephen Homcha of Nesquehoning. They also have three grandchildren: Christine, Brittany and Brent.The Filips celebrated their special day with a family dinner.
