Mr. and Mrs. Todd Burkett of Lehighton announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie M. Burkett to Terry A. Barner Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Barner of Mill Hall, Pa.

The bride to be is a 2004 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, and a 2008 graduate of Lock Haven University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education.She is currently employed at Wal-Mart.The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Central Mountain High School.He recently finished his internship with State College High School, and earned a bachelor's degree from Lock Haven University in sport administration.The couple are planning a wedding for Oct. 16, 2010 in Lehighton.
