The engagement of Crystal Hartman to Patrick Duffy has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michele Hartman of Jim Thorpe and Gregory Hartman of Lehighton.She is a 2002 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and a 2006 graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in biology.She will be graduating from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2010.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Patricia Duffy of Philadelphia and Daniel Duffy of Croydon, Pa.He is a 2001 graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in accounting.He is a certified public accountant at KPMG in Philadelphia.The couple was engaged on Sept. 27, 2008 at Old Main on the campus of Penn State University in State College.A Jan. 2, 2010 wedding in the Poconos is planned.
