Catie Lauver, daughter of Ronald Lauver, McAdoo, and the late Shirley Lauver, became the bride of Michael Walser II, son of Michael and Michelle Walser, Tamaqua, on May 16, 2009 at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Tamaqua.

The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. William Linkchorst. Joseph Mehalko was the vocalist. Sandy Mehalko played the organ.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Christi Hinkle, Weatherly, as matron of honor. Madilyn and Abby Hinkle, Weatherly, were flower girls.Thomas Walser, Tamaqua, was best man. Ushers were Wayne and Brian Gawlik of Schnecksville. Ring bearer was Chase Lauver of Lancaster.Following a reception at the New England Fire Company in Tamaqua, the couple honeymooned in Myrtle Beach, S.C.The new Mrs. Walser holds an associate degree in liberal arts. She is employed by Reynolds Business Systems in Wescosville.Mr. Walser has a certificate in practical nursing. He is employed at the Country Meadows Retirement Community in Allentown.A shower for the bride was held at the Hometown Fire Company.The newlyweds currently reside in Kutztown.
