Sharon Englert and Robby Russell are wed

Sharon L. Englert, daughter of Theresa A. Englert of Newkirk, Pa., became the bride of Robby R. Russell, son of James and Esther Witner of Tamaqua, on Oct. 17, 2009 at St. Peter and Paul's Church in Tamaqua. The Rev. William Linkchorst officiated at the ceremony. Susan Baddick was the organist.

Given in marriage by her brother, Walter F. Englert of Newkirk, the bride chose Linda Lewis of Tamaqua as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Jessica Eick Englert of Nesquehoning, Denise Ackles of Lehighton, Cristal Russell of Tamaqua and Alyssa Lewis also of Tamaqua. Chloe Elizabeth Englert of Tamaqua was the flower girl.David Frantz of Kaska, Pa. performed the duties of best man. Ushers included Michael Stone of Pottsville; Joseph Tomalonis of Cumbola, Pa.; Joseph Lescavage of Tamaqua; and James Joseph Englert of Tamaqua. Charles Thomas Englert of Newkirk was the ring bearer.Following the ceremony, the couple greeted family and friends at a reception at the New Ringgold Fire Company, New Ringgold. They honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.The new Mrs. Russell is a graduate of Schuylkill Training & Technical Center in Frackville. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Mr. Russell is a graduate of Penn College and is employed as a diesel mechanic.The newlyweds currently reside in Tamaqua.
