The Bach and Handel Chorale Fall Concert with the Festival Orchestra and guest soloists will be performed at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at historic St. Mark's Church, 21 Race Street in Jim Thorpe.
This concert will include Buxtehude's Magnificat Anima Mea, Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major, Cantata 171 "Gott, wei dein Name" and his Magnificat in D Major.
The guest soloists are Meghan DeWald, soprano; Jennifer Laubach, mezzo soprano; Jeffrey T. Dinsmore, tenor; and Richard Johnson, bass.
The finale will be G. F. Handel's famous "Hallelujah" from the Messiah.

I have always been a big fan of Bach piano music, and this concert did not disappoint. Classical music has such a calming influence over me that I try to attend such concerts whenever I can. Although I love all the greats from Mozart to Beethoven, there's just something about Bach that gets me every time!
